Hi there, I'm Liam DeBeasi! I am a full stack developer who builds powerful and beautifully designed web and mobile applications. I am currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Boston University and will graduate in May 2017.
During my time at BU, I have been involved in research, clubs, and teaching opportunities.
I am currently working as a course assistant for the Introduction to Computer Science I class at BU where I and the rest of the course staff use Python to provide approximately 400 students with an introduction to data structures, algorithms, and other foundational CS topics. My responsibilities mainly include assisting with labs, running office hours, and answering student questions on Piazza.
During my time as President of Open Web, I led a team of 15 BU students to teach development workshops and build web apps, mobile apps, and games. In addition I taught the club's introductory course on web development for 2 years.
I have been involved in a few research projects. The most recent one assessed how income per capita affects alternative methods of transportation in Boston. The GitHub code, project report, and project poster are all available online.
